Dr. Lisa Reid is a highly skilled prosthodontist and a valuable member of the team at Clinton Street Dental. She is an accomplished professional, with years of experience providing optimal restorative dentistry solutions for patients with missing teeth.

What is a prosthodontist?

A prosthodontist is a dentist who focuses specifically on repairing damaged teeth, as well as the replacement of missing teeth with prosthetic restorations. Like other prosthodontists, Dr. Reid can perform all general dental services but offers specific expertise in teeth replacement with dental crowns, dental bridges and dentures.

Dr. Reid has a special interest in prosthetics retained by dental implants. With extensive experience in the areas of implant, aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry, she is committed to utilizing an evidence-based approach to deliver outstanding care to her patients.

At Clinton Street Dental, Dr. Reid works together with Dr. Stanislaus and Dr. Han to treat patients who have loose or missing teeth. Some patients may have an existing dental appliance that is proving ineffective and problematic. With a combined interest in providing patients with enhanced aesthetics and optimal dental function, Dr. Reid, Dr. Stanislaus and Dr. Han work together to create a treatment plan for the placement and restoration of dental implants. Implant restorations can be fixed or removable restorations.

At your initial consultation with Dr. Reid, she will use our advanced technology to conduct a comprehensive exam then create a custom treatment recommendation. She works with patients with varying needs and strives to provide lifelike, long-lasting solutions.

Education & Training

Outside of our practice, Dr. Reid regularly shares her expertise with her dental peers, serving as a guest lecturer for topics related to implant-supported restorations and restorative dentistry treatment planning.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Reid completed a three-year residency in postgraduate prosthodontics at the University of Iowa. She was then asked to join the faculty of the university as an assistant professor in the Department of Family Dentistry. At the same time, she maintained an active private practice serving restorative dentistry patients.

Dr. Reid began practicing in Brooklyn Heights after relocating to the northeast to be closer to her family. Today, she is a valued member at Clinton Street Dental and greatly enjoys her experience working with local patients, guiding them through the process of regaining good oral health and a beautiful, fully functional smile.

When she is not treating patients, Dr. Reid enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking and birdwatching with her husband and her two sons.

As a highly regarded cosmetic and restorative dentist serving Fort Greene and all of New York City, Dr. Eugene D. Stanislaus has a wealth of expertise in the areas of dental implants, gum surgery, root canal therapy, and a wide range of other general dentistry, restorative dentistry and cosmetic dentistry treatments.

Dr. Stanislaus received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1984. He continued his education and training by completing a one-year general practice residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. In 1985, he acquired a dental practice then operated by his father, Dr. Lamuel Stanislaus, who retired the same year.

Dr. Eugene D. Stanislaus is a diplomate and fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a fellow of the International College of Dentists, and a graduate and fellow of the Misch International Implant Institute’s surgical and prosthetic programs. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.

With over 2000 documented hours of continuing dental education, Dr. Stanislaus has obtained his credentials through rigorous testing and case presentations before his peers.

Dr. Stanislaus is committed to the delivery of the most advanced treatments for his patients, including the provision of dental implants for the replacement of missing teeth. He attained his surgical and prosthetic implant expertise from the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. There, he studied under the instruction of the renowned oral implantologist, Dr. Carl Misch. Patients visiting Dr. Stanislaus’ Brooklyn Heights practice benefit from his expertise as a cosmetic and restorative dentist. Dr. Stanislaus obtained this expertise through training at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study (now the Dawson Academy) with Dr. Peter Dawson, the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education with Dr. Frank Spear and the Kois Center with Dr. John Kois. Dr. Stanislaus is also a certified provider of Invisalign® clear aligners, the virtually invisible orthodontic treatment.

In keeping with his commitment to treat his patients with state-of-the-art procedures, Dr. Eugene D. Stanislaus is one of only four dentists in New York City who are certified to provide the advanced LANAP (laser assisted new attachment procedure) periodontal treatment. This treatment uses the PerioLase® laser from Millennium Dental Technologies and is the only periodontal laser treatment approved by the FDA.

Dr. Jessie Han graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2009 and completed a general practice residency in 2010 at the Hackensack University Medical Center. In addition to her advanced training in dentistry at the Dawson Academy, she actively furthers her education with continuing education courses throughout the year. Dr. Han is currently a well-established member of the American Dental Association® and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is an honored recipient of the Samuel Charles Miller Award, and she is a certified Invisalign® clear aligners provider. She has also received a Laser Certification from the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

Having practiced in the local area of Brooklyn Heights and Chelsea for over 10 years, her greatest goal as a dentist is to help patients in her community achieve and maintain beautiful smiles that stay healthy for a lifetime. In her spare time outside of the office, Dr. Han enjoys traveling, hiking and yoga. She is also an avid animal lover, and she often finds herself traveling in search of new cuisines or rare animal sightings.

Lynne joined our team in January 2001 and enjoys the positive atmosphere of the practice and the way that the doctors care for both our patients and the welfare of our team. Lynne has been with our team for over 20 years, and our patients have grown to trust and rely on her as they have continued to visit our practice. She has been
working in the dental field since 1965 and says this is the most pleasant practice she has been a part of. Our doctors are easy to work for and very understanding, which makes for a happy and productive team.

Lynne has two sons and four wonderful grandchildren. Her family is her greatest pleasure in life, and she is pleased to live close to them. Outside the office, Lynne enjoys decorating and refurbishing furniture to repurpose it.

Elees completed a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology, with an emphasis in social work, before pursuing an MBA with an emphasis in accounting. Elees enjoys problem solving and greeting a challenge, and she is a vital part of keeping our office running smoothly.

Elees has been working in dentistry for 30 years. About 15 years ago, she took a break and completed her certification in teaching English as a second language, living and teaching in both Turkey and China. After coming to NYC 10 years ago, she taught ESL in Business Grad School at Fordham University prior to joining our team in March 2021.

Elees shares an apartment with her adult daughter. For Elees, traveling is the best thing in the world. When not traveling, she can be found knitting or reading.

Mary attended Skidmore College, completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics in 2002. She later attended the New York City College of Technology, completing an associate’s degree in dental hygiene in 2008. She joined our team in October 2009, and loves the ethics of the practice and the comradery among her coworkers. Mary prides herself on being a kind and gentle hygienist with great attention to detail.

In her spare time Mary enjoys reading and watching reruns of the Great British Baking Show.

Melissa attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Upon graduating in 1996, she was a part-time clinical instructor. In 2004, Melissa joined our team as a dental hygienist, and in 2019-2020 she taught a dental anatomy class part-time in the Queens Dental School. Melissa loves being able to help patients improve their oral health, and she enjoys the continuity of our practice. She always works to be as helpful as possible for our patients so that they can have a pleasant experience and avoid feelings of fear and anxiety while at the dentist.

Melissa has an 18-year-old son, and has learned that oral home care during adolescence can be challenging, helping her to be more understanding of her patients’ needs. She loves to sing and play keyboards, and was in a band pre-COVID. Melissa is determined to write her own song one day, so look out for it! (It may have lyrics about teeth!)

Olasanmi graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology from the University at Albany, and she joined our team in January 2021. She helps make our patients comfortable by providing a caring environment and by being the doctors’ right hand to give her patients a smooth and successful visit. Olasanmi appreciates that our team takes pride in caring and catering not only to our patients but also to other members of the team, and she enjoys being in an environment filled with positive energy.

Olasanmi comes from a Nigerian household of 10, which played a large role in the woman she is becoming. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to and creating podcasts, writing and journaling, and working on her new-found cosmetic business. One of Olasanmi’s goals is to further her education and training by going to dental school.
